Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 18 September 2026
This is the same document the television shows. It is generated from the app's own text, so the wording here and the wording in Settings cannot differ.
This document is available in English only. Other parts of GreyStream may be translated; these terms are not, so that the wording you agree to is the wording we publish.
1. About GreyStream
GreyStream ("GreyStream", "the App", "we", "us" or "our") is software designed for compatible televisions and supported devices.
GreyStream provides media playback and related software features, which may include Live TV, Movies, Series, Radio, playlists, visualisers, backgrounds, lyrics, artwork, search and favourites.
GreyStream also includes hosted services that support the App: a companion web page for setting up playlists from a phone, tablet or computer, and a synchronisation service that keeps that page and your television in step. References to GreyStream in these Terms include those services. No media passes through either of them.
GreyStream is a media player. Unless expressly stated otherwise, GreyStream does not provide, host, store, copy, aggregate, retransmit, sell, licence or distribute third-party television channels, movies, series, music or other media content.
A GreyStream licence buys the GreyStream software and its software features. It does not buy, and does not include at any price, access to any television channel, media library, subscription service or other third-party content.
GreyStream is provided "as is" and "as available". Section 16 sets out what that means and the limits that apply, and nothing in it removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be removed.
2. Acceptance
By installing, accessing or using GreyStream, you agree to these Terms.
By purchasing a Premium licence, you also agree to these Terms and the applicable Refund Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use or purchase GreyStream.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
3. Use of GreyStream
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive licence to use GreyStream on compatible devices that you own or control. The licence is personal to you and is not transferable to another person, though you may move it between your own devices as described in section 8.
You must not:
- copy, resell, rent, sublicense or commercially redistribute GreyStream;
- circumvent licence or technical protection mechanisms;
- modify or redistribute GreyStream without permission;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble GreyStream except where permitted by applicable law;
- use GreyStream for unlawful purposes.
4. Third-Party Media and Sources
We operate strictly on a Bring Your Own Content (BYOC) model: you supply the media sources, and GreyStream supplies only the software that plays them.
GreyStream may allow you to connect to media sources provided or configured by you or by third parties.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, licences and permissions to access and use any content through GreyStream.
GreyStream does not control or verify third-party media sources and does not guarantee their legality, availability, quality, accuracy or reliability.
We are not responsible for third-party content, services, streams, playlists or media sources.
5. Free Features and Trial
GreyStream may provide certain features free of charge.
The standard Premium trial period, where offered, will be displayed before activation.
Trial periods and promotional offers may vary.
Free features and trials may be changed or discontinued where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
6. 12-Month Premium Software Licence
A 12-Month Premium Software Licence is purchased with one payment and provides access to Premium features on one registered compatible device for 12 months.
The licence period begins on the activation or purchase date shown at checkout and ends on the displayed expiry date. Any additional trial time applies only where it is expressly shown as part of the offer.
The licence does not renew automatically and no further payment is charged. After it expires, you may separately purchase another licence at the price then offered.
Expiry or non-use does not automatically refund any unused part of the licence period, except where required by applicable law or our Refund Policy.
7. 36-Month Premium Software Licence
A 36-Month Premium Software Licence is purchased with one payment and provides access to Premium features on one registered compatible device for 36 months.
8. Device Transfers
A Premium licence is intended for the purchaser and is not intended for sharing or resale.
You may transfer your licence to another compatible device that you own or control, subject to reasonable technical limits designed to prevent licence sharing and abuse.
Unusually frequent or repeated device changes may require verification.
9. Payments
Bitcoin payments are processed through a unique BTCPay Server invoice. GreyStream is the seller for a direct Bitcoin purchase; BTCPay Server is payment software and is not a bank, custodian or Merchant of Record.
The invoice displays the USD order price, the BTC amount and its validity period before payment. Access is activated only after the payment is verified as settled. Network fees charged by the payer's wallet or the Bitcoin network are separate from the licence price.
Where an authorised Merchant of Record processes a purchase, that provider acts as the Merchant of Record for the transaction and is responsible for the order, payment processing, billing and applicable taxes.
The identity of any applicable Merchant of Record and its terms are shown during checkout and/or on the purchase receipt. Card payment through a Merchant of Record may not be available in every country or at every time.
10. Prices
Prices are displayed at the time of purchase.
Launch prices and promotional prices may differ from standard prices.
We may change prices for future purchases. The price and licence period applicable to your purchase will be shown before payment.
Prices are tax-inclusive where GreyStream is permitted to sell. Checkout may be limited by country while registrations and compliance arrangements are established.
11. Refunds and Consumer Rights
Refunds are governed by the GreyStream Refund Policy and applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Availability
We aim to keep GreyStream available and functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The App may be affected by maintenance, updates, network failures, platform changes, third-party service failures, security incidents or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If the hosted services are unavailable, your television continues to play the playlists already saved on it. What stops working is setting up or editing from the companion page until the service returns.
13. Updates and Compatibility
We may release updates, security fixes, improvements and new versions of GreyStream.
Future versions may not support every current or previous device, operating system or third-party service.
14. Intellectual Property
GreyStream, including its software, interface, branding, logos, original graphics, visualisers and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your purchase or use of GreyStream does not transfer ownership of GreyStream or its intellectual property to you.
15. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material breach, fraudulent or abusive licence use, unauthorised licence sharing, payment fraud, security risks or legal requirements.
We respond to valid copyright and other intellectual-property complaints. GreyStream hosts no media, so where a complaint concerns material supplied by a third-party provider we will direct the complainant to that provider or host, which is the party able to remove it. Where a complaint concerns something within our control - a licence, or playlist details stored on our service - we may suspend or remove it. Repeated or serious infringement may result in termination.
Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
16. Disclaimer and Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GreyStream is provided without guarantees that it will operate continuously or be compatible with every device, network, media source or third-party service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use GreyStream.
Our total liability relating to a particular purchase will, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, not exceed the amount paid for the affected GreyStream product.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
17. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the GreyStream Privacy Policy.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to GreyStream, our services or applicable requirements.
The latest version will be available through the GreyStream website.
